Dairy Free Sesame & Orange Waldorf Salad

A refreshing, crunchy citrus fruit and nut salad inspired by the humble Waldorf salad.  This salad is diary free with sesame seeds to replace calcium intake suitable for Vegan diets.  The dressing can be made in a larger quantity in order to blend easier and stored in the fridge for up to 1 week.  For a non-vegetarian to increase protein intake, add grilled or steamed chicken for a higher protein intake.  Enjoy!


1 green apple

1/4 cup of celery

12 red grapes

8 walnuts


2 tablespoons of sesame seeds

1/4 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice

pinch of salt


  • Blend sesame seeds, orange juice and sea salt in a blender to make the dressing and set aside.
  • Dice green apple and celery and halve grapes.
  • Combine apple, celery, grapes and walnuts in a large bowel.
  • Toss sesame and orange dressing through the mix.
  • Enjoy!
