Tuna Patties

Additional patties can be stored in freezer or refrigerator for quick meals


1 x 425gram tin of Tuna

1 medium brown onion

1 large sweet potato or 3 medium potatoes

1-2 tablespoons of sesame seeds

2 tablespoons of coconut oil

1/2 teaspoon of sea salt (optional)

1 cup of gluten free bread crumbs

1/2 cup of fresh diced herb, coriander or parsley (optional)


  • Peel and cube your potatoes
  • steam or boil your potatoes until soft, drain well and set aside
  • Warm 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in pan. Cook diced onion until translucent

  • Add cooked onion, tuna, sesame seeds, sea salt and fresh herbs to potato and mix through
 to a mash
  • Form small patties and coat in GF bread crumbs. If patties are too soft add additional bread crumbs to mix
  • Warm coconut oil in pan and cook patties on each side until golden brown
